Italian Nachos Restaurant-Style Recipe
Italian sausage, pepperoni, banana peppers, mozzarella, and pizza sauce make for great nachos.
Tortilla chips are topped with a chicken and salsa mixture, melted cheese and tomato. These hearty nachos make a great snack and work well as a meal, too! Serve with sour cream and guacamole, if desired.
These are delicious, by far my favorite go-to appetizer when we are thinking of eating out at night. I have made these both with regular tortilla chips and with fried wonton wrappers (just like the restuarant) and I think the wonton wrappers add another dimension to this recipe!
These tortilla chips are first topped with an Italian-style sauce, pepperoni and Italian sausage. Then the nachos are garnished with feta cheese onions, black olives, and sour cream. Yum.....
Recipe Group Selection: 4, February 2012 Big hit in this house. DH really liked the Italian sausage on this one. The one change I made was after putting the sausage on the chips, I drizzed the pizza sauce next, and then added the other toppings. It was much easier than trying to dip and keep the toppings on. I broiled in the toaster oven and that worked great. Thanks reneeg for sharing your nacho recipe.
Nachos baked with bubbling Cheddar cheese and fresh tomato salsa make a bright and colorful snack for a party or watching the game.
these were good but not great. Good idea to use up the ingredients if you need to though.
The chips i use is deep fried wontons. Just toss the wontons in the deep fryer for a few minutes and then add the layers of mozzarella cheese, Italian sausage slices, pepperoni and top off with the pepper rings. Dip in a side of Marinara sauce.

I came up with my own version of Italian Nachos after trying some at a festival. They are a nice change of pace from your typical nachos. These disappear fast whenever I take them to parties!
